I love fall! Today especially has been one of those high cloud, blustery sunny days that defy you not to step outside and enjoy it. This time of year infuses me with energy—perhaps it’s just a relief after the slug of humid hot summer weather. Late last night, around midnight, we had an exciting thunder storm. Such changeable weather. Cool mornings and chilly evenings with the darkness drawing in. And so the leaves are changing and falling. I saw this gorgeous maple leaf yesterday and snapped the picture before the storm. Enjoy! I can't really explain my increase in energy and surge of excitement in the fall except that it is a very physical experience which increases my enjoyment of such a beautiful season. I also love fall! We lived in Fla for 47 years and I was so hungry to see fall again. We drove up here to NC and as I rode around looking at the gloriously painted mountains my eyes leaked and my cheeks were wet. Hubby said, "smell' and I did and cried harder. I'm so glad we live in 4 seasons now. I also love spring.

Love those leaves. Spring is my favourite time of the year. Cool in the morning and evening but just nice in the middle of the day.
