Trying to get out of the way of an intimate picture of my step daughter pinning a boutonniere onto my hubby's lapel. Maybe if I just try to break the camera instead? Lol.

This blog started in response to a challenge by Effy Wild to blog everyday in April 2018 (I started late) and to visit and comment on 3 blogs daily. So...a challenge indeed.
Leaving you with one of my favourite quotes. I don't know who wrote it but it has carried me through some rough times. A dear friend wrote it in the copy of "Gone With the Wind" that she gave me when I emigrated from England to Canada when I was 16 (many many moons ago!). She gave me that book as we had both loved the film, re-released in theatres that year or the year before and she had heard that the book wasn't available in Canada (turns out, just that particular edition but nonetheless) . I see now that she was much wiser than her years.
Glance backwards now and then, my friend,
but do not look too long.
The past has gone, the future waits,
step forward with a song.
Who knows tomorrow's sunshine may
be brighter than you dream today.
